I am Assistant Professor of Political Science (RTT) at the Department of Political Science of Luiss Guido Carli, where I teach public opinion, elections, and social research methods.

I came to political science through a simple question: when do citizens’ preferences actually reach the decisions that are made in their name? That question has taken me from legislative agendas in Italy to public support for European solidarity, from the political consequences of free movement to the politicisation of climate change.

Methodologically, I work mostly with comparative survey data — including surveys I have helped design and field — survey experiments, and quantitative text analysis. Before joining Luiss, I was a researcher at the Italian National Research Council, the University of Milan, and the University of Leicester. I hold a PhD in Comparative and European Politics from the University of Siena (2017).
